Foodservice Recipe CACFP: Carrot Fries

Farm to School Foodservice Recipe

Ingredients

2 lbs carrots

1 Tablespoon Olive Oil

1/2 teaspoon garlic power

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon parika

Procedure

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Line baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Set aside.

  2. Slice carrots into even-sized slices. Toss with olive oil and spices. Transfer to prepared backing sheet.

  3. Bake in preheated oven for 10-15 minutes. Stir the carrots, rotate the pan, and return to oven.

  4. Back another 10 to 15 minutes until carrots are roasted.

  5. Broil for an additional 3-5 minutes to bring out a crispier fry texture. (optional)

  6. Serve with ketchup or other sauce if desired. Use different colored carrots for extra fun!
