Farm to ECE Local Food Purchasing Incentive Flash Talk Series

How can local food purchasing incentive programs (LFPIs) be designed to be accessible and feasible for Early Care and Education (ECEs)? While more than a dozen states have permanent LFPIs, only around half of programs include ECEs. Especially in light of USDA’s forthcoming $200 million investment for ECEs to purchase local food, there is growing momentum across the nation to understand how LFPIs can best bolster local purchasing in ECEs given their unique contexts.

Join NFSN and Association of State Public Health Nutritionists (ASPHN) for a two-part webinar series that explores how state-level LFPIs support ECEs. During these one hour-long sessions, representatives from ten states will share their experiences working with ECEs through their respective permanent or pilot LFPI programs.
