Presenter:

Karen Peterson is the Executive Director at the Northeast Indiana Local Food Network. She has a strong background in human resources and business operations, which helps her in her current role. In addition to her professional work, Karen is also a beginning farmer. In 2022, she and her husband, Dustin, started a farm called Pequash Farms. Karen joined the board of directors for the Northeast Indiana Local Food Network in early 2024. To further her knowledge in food education, Karen completed the Farm to School Fellowship program with NWI Food Council. Her combined experience in business and farming allows her to make a positive impact on local food initiatives in her community, helping both farmers and consumers grow together.
