The National Farm to School Network (NFSN) will lead the May ASPHN Farm to ECE webinar. NFSN will explore connecting early care and education (ECE) and food systems partners. Farm to ECE enhances children's access to nourishing, local foods by changing ECE food purchasing practices, supports food and agricultural education in ECEs, and has the potential to strengthen local food economies. This webinar will offer steps to connect Farm to ECE practitioners with local food producers and explore innovative approaches to local food purchasing. The presentation will also emphasize strategies for building long-lasting relationships with local food producers, cooperatives, food hubs, and other community food system organizations.
